Tulare is located in the Central Valley of California along State Route 99 between Fresno and Bakersfield. With a population of 40,935 in 1998, the town of Tulare is best known for it's agricultural vitality. Tulare County is the number one milk-processing county, and it is the second largest agricultural producing county in the world. Although Tulare is growing as a city, it still has the atmosphere of a small town.
